After witnessing her mother's murder at the age of ten, Cashmere-known as Cash, inherits the brothel her mother left behind. A beautiful and feisty girl, Cash quickly learns the ins and outs of the upscale escort agency, Living Lavish Enterprises, leaving Brian-known as Brains, her mother's former lover and pimp, impressed at how well she handles the business. Living Lavish Enterprises, or L.L.E., poses as one of the nation's largest staffing placement agencies, headquartered in Los Angeles. Cashmere works her way up to the top Madame spot in the agency's L.A. regional office, the leading enterprise in the escort industry. Building her stellar team of professionals was not an easy task. She strategically built her lineup from scratch, recruiting resources from all different races, cultures and walks of life. Her goal was to mold her troop of beautiful women into the most desirable, intelligent, no-nonsense "hoes" in the game. They certainly brought that goal to fruition by earning Living Lavish Enterprises millions, in a matter of months. Cashmere is in charge of keeping the enterprise running smoothly. She does this by constructing a cunning smokescreen to show that their establishment, L.L.E., is legitimate as possible. The enterprise's top girls disguise themselves as executives of the diverse placement divisions: The Accounting Firm, Talent Agency, Athletic Department, Party Promoters and Housekeeping. Additionally, Cashmere owns and operates an upscale boutique, which accumulates hefty revenue of its own, within months of its grand opening, and the cash flow doesn't stop there. Pulling double duty, as a deceptively beautiful hired assassin, Cash conspires to take over the enterprise, earning power and respect, by targeting those considered untouchable. Taking out the key orchestrator within the enterprise is an extremely difficult task, but there's nothing more challenging for Cash, than pretending to love and adore the man that took her mother's life. He feigned grief while placing a blood-red rose inside of her mother's casket, before it was sealed. This rose serves as the catalyst for Cashmere's big plans of vengeful retribution.

Kerry Cook is an innocent man who wrongly served two decades in Texas's notorious death house for the brutal 1977 rape and murder of 21-year-old Linda Jo Edwards. His struggle for freedom is said to be one of the worst cases of police and prosecutorial misconduct in American history. In the summer of 1977, Cook was staying in Tyler, TX. He met an attractive young woman named Linda Edwards and was invited back to her apartment for a drink and left his fingerprints on the sliding glass door. Four days later, Ms. Edwards was found brutally murdered. When the police dusted for prints, they found Cook's and immediately arrested him. Edward Jackson testified that Cook confessed to the murder during a jailhouse conversation. Jackson was set free, only to kill again several years later. Cook, on the other hand, was convicted and sentenced to death. He was thrown into a world for which no one could be prepared, and he survived beatings, sexual abuse, and depression; all the while, he fought against a justice system that was determined to keep him quiet and loath to admit a mistake. Through the work of a crusading group of lawyers who forced a series of retrials, his case made its way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which ordered the case be reconsidered. It wasn't until the spring of 1999 that Cook was finally able to put the nightmare behind him: long-suppressed DNA evidence had linked James Mayfield, Linda Edwards's ex-lover, to the crime.
